Aloud collects no personal data. There is no account, no login, and no email required to use it.
What stays on your device
Your books, the audio Aloud generates from them, your listening history and statistics, and any voice recordings you make. None of it is transmitted anywhere. It is stored only on your device, and it is deleted when you delete the app.
When Aloud uses the network
Only to download voice models, and to fetch books and cover images from public catalogues:
- Project Gutenberg
- LibriVox
- Open Library
These requests carry no information identifying you, and Aloud never sends your books, your audio, or your reading history anywhere.
Analytics and advertising
None. Aloud contains no analytics tools, no advertising, and no third-party trackers of any kind.
Purchases
Handled entirely by Apple. Aloud never sees your payment details, and receives no personal information from the transaction.
Children
Aloud collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top will change with it.
