Questions
- Can I import books from Kindle, Apple Books, or Audible?
- No. Those files are locked by the companies that sold them, and no app can open them — not Aloud, not anything else. Aloud reads DRM-free files you own.
- What file types work?
- EPUB, PDF, and TXT.
- Where does my audio go?
- Nowhere. Aloud makes the audio on your phone, and it stays there. There is no account, no server, and nothing to upload.
- Does it work without a connection?
- Yes. After the first voice download, everything works on a plane, underground, or anywhere with no signal.
- A name is pronounced wrong.
- Email the book title and the word. Pronunciation fixes are quick to add, and once fixed they stick across the whole series.
- Something is broken.
- Email what happened and what you expected instead. Your phone model helps.
- I paid, then reinstalled. Where did it go?
- Purchases live with your Apple ID, not the app. Open Aloud, go to Settings, and choose Restore Purchases.
